I know what goals I want to achieve but I can’t get my mind in gear.
There is so much I need to do but I keep getting distracted and don’t know where to start.
Does this sound familiar? If so, you are not alone. So many of us are feeling this way and it is no surprise. We are currently being bombarded with news, rules, changes and there is a constant feeling of uncertainty. There are distractions everywhere and there is only so much our minds can take.
It can feel frustrating when you are getting easily distracted. I know I sometimes wonder why I can’t focus or find it difficult to work on my business. As a business owner you wear so many different hats, from CEO to Marketing Director to Personal Assistant, which is hard to juggle normally. Now there is a world of other issues you have to deal with not only in your business but in everyday life. Have you remembered your mask when going to the shop? What are the current restrictions? Have you done your business accounts? Is your social media scheduled? What is going to happen in the coming weeks/months that might affect your business?
When you are being inundated with new information on top of everything else it is easy to become distracted. Our minds can focus on a limited number of things. Distractions are all around in both internal and external factors. When these factors become too much it is hard to gain the focus we need.
As we draw a close on this ‘interesting’ year, we are now faced with the task of setting out our goals for 2021. This in turn could fill you with dread as who knows what the year will hold.
Get your focus back and achieve your goals
After struggling with distractions effecting my focus, I launched my new Untangle Sessions. When our minds become overloaded and foggy, it is hard to untangle our thoughts on our own. Therefore, in these sessions we work together to clear your mind and give you the focus and motivation to drive forward.
During the sessions we start by getting everything written down. This is the hardest part. These can be new ideas, unfinished tasks that have been waiting to be finished for a while, potential goals or goals that need to be changed and all those tasks you have been procrastinating over. Everything that is taking up space in your mind. This first step can be a relief in itself although maybe overwhelming to begin with.
Now for the fun part working together we can brainstorm plans and set achievable goals to move forward with clear focus. You will feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders and a boost in motivation that you might have been lacking.
